Last month she was pulled from TDE’s Championship Tour due to illness and declared that “my voice is injured permanently.” Fans of the soulful songbird clamored for updates and grew more worried as the silence intensified. However, a change of direction toward the positive seems to have revealed itself in the form of a tweet.

Thank u to the incredible team of Doctors and vocal technicians that have taken time to see me over the last few weeks in every city. I’m blessed to say my voice is not permanently damaged and i’ve been working daily to get back. Slowly but surely.

Despite the recent health battles, the singer returned to the stage for her scheduled set at Firefly Music Festival on Sunday.
